Our Mission

Our goal, at Thill-Demerly, is to give every one of our customers the service and respect they deserve. We understand that there are dozens of other insurance agencies all across Wester New York, all promising good service and good prices. What makes us different is follow through. We live up to our promise. We treat each customer as though they were family, because they are family to us. Somebody is always available to help. Calls are returned promptly, and we keep you in the loop every step of the way, so you always know what to expect from us. We follow-up on every transaction, so you don't have to, and we watch out for your best interest. We take our job very seriously, and we don't ever take our customers for granted. You deserve to be treated right, period.

Our Staff

Brian Knoll

Brian is a graduate of Buffalo State College, with a BS in Science focusing on high school science education. Upon graduating from college in 2007, he called his agent (Dan King) to add his new wife to his policy and was offered an interview to work at Thill-Demerly. Brian took him up on his offer and made Thill-Demerly his home. In 2010, he was brought in as partner, and in 2021, became the official owner of the agency. Brian still teaches, but now he teaches insurance to all his customers. It is his passion to make sure that everyone understand the details of the policies they purchase. He didn't know what insurance even was when he started in the business. Now, he is an advocate for all his clients, and goes toe to toe with the insurance companies whenever necessary.

Angela Hake

Angela is a graduate from Erie Community College, with a degree in Ophthalmology. She has worked in the medical field for 22 years. She also did direct sales for 7 years, until she became a mom in 2018.

In 2018, Brian Kroll (the owner of the agency and a long-time friend of hers) contacted her, and offered her a secretarial position, since his secretary of 32 years was retiring. Angela took him up on his offer and Thill Demerly became her second home. In 2019, Angela took the Personal Lines Insurance course and became a licensed insurance agent, all the while learning the flood business from her colleague Dan King. Then in 2022, Dan King announced his retirement and passed the reins on to Angela, who is now writing flood insurance for the entire state of New York. She takes great pride in going above and beyond for her customers, and all those she meets. She has an amazing personality (the moment you meet her you will understand).

When not in the office, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and her family, trying new recipes, working out, doing crafts (when she has free time), and being outdoors in the summertime. Anyone that knows her, knows she's a social butterfly and enjoys a good conversation.

Rachel Taylor

Rachel is the newest agent to join our office, in January of 2022. She graduated from D'Youville College, in 2012, with a bachelors degree in Business Management. A few months after graduating, she began her insurance journey at GEICO. At GEICO, she quickly became a licensed agent and even made the Presidents Club her first year there. In 2019, Rachel decided to advance her insurance career and took a position with Tompkins Insurance, in Batavia. At Tompkins, she obtained her broker license and began working with many different insurance carriers. She has now found her home, with the Thill-Demerly Agency, and looks forward to her career blossoming more.

Rachel was born and raised right here in Lancaster, and graduated from LHS in 2003. In 2016, she made the move to Attica (not the prison), where she later married a dairy farmer. When not in the office, Rachel can be seen helping her husband on the farm milking cows, baling hay, or chasing her two young boys around. Her sweet boys are her life. In her free time, Rachel loves to crochet, bake, and binge some true crime podcasts. "
